Mt. Sydney Deck Remodel & Screened Porch

This Mt. Sydney deck remodel transformed an aging outdoor space into a durable, low-maintenance area designed for everyday living and entertaining. These homeowners were repeat clients who had previously trusted our team with kitchen, bathroom, and utility space renovations. When it came time to update their outdoor living area, they wanted a space that was more functional, easier to maintain, and comfortable for family and guests. The existing deck and framing had reached the end of their lifespan and required a complete replacement. We rebuilt the structure and installed TimberTech composite decking. The homeowners also selected aluminum railings for their clean appearance, durability, and low-maintenance benefits. A key feature of this project was the screened porch. The space allows the homeowners to enjoy fresh air and backyard views while staying protected from insects and the elements. Integrated stair lighting was added to improve nighttime visibility and create a warm, inviting atmosphere. The finished result is a custom outdoor living space that functions as a true extension of the home. It provides additional room for relaxing, entertaining, and enjoying the outdoors throughout much of the year.
